Exercise to Burn Fat

A question that often arises when we talk about weight loss and exercise is "What is the best exercise to burn fat"?

There are many experts and websites that offer different answers to this question. Some say that the moderate aerobics floor are the best for burning fat, while others claim high intensity aerobic exercises are best. And others will just focus on strength training your fat burning secret.

The truth is that all are correct to some extent. To burn fat effectively, you must include both aerobic exercise and strength training. Your aerobics will give the benefit of fat calories burned during exercise, while strength training will give you the advantage of increasing your basal metabolic rate (BMR) by building lean muscle mass.

So to effectively respond to the question "what is the best exercise to burn fat? I should really be reformulated in 2 questions. 1) What is the best aerobic exercise to burn fat and 2) what is the best exercise for strength training to burn fat.

Let's address the first of these two questions. Any aerobic exercise that gets your heart pumping in the heart rate zone will be an effective fat burning exercise. The controversy between the experts are not aerobic exercises to do, but at what level of intensity.

Although low to moderate aerobic exercise burns about 60% fat, while the high intense workout burns only 35% fat, high intensity workouts burn more total calories. This could amount to a greater number of fat calories burned depending on the duration of the high intense training.

For example, if a woman who weighs 145 pounds walked briskly for 30 minutes to 3 km per hour, it would have burned about 100 calories total and 60 calories from fat. However, if that same woman ran at 5 mph for 30 minutes, you'd burn about 264 calories and 35% fat burning, which equates to 92 calories from fat. So you can see that she has burned more calories from fat with high intense aerobic workout.

The problem is that in trying to maintain this high intensity throughout in order to receive the benefits of fat burning. Therefore, for some people, the choice of a low to moderate aerobic exercise routine for more than 45-60 minutes, it can be your best aerobic exercise to burn fat. The increase in the duration of a low to moderate aerobic exercise will increase the total calories burned and total fat calories burned during exercise.

Now, to answer what is the best bodybuilding exercise to burn fat. Well, most experts agree that weight training is the most effective in building lean muscle mass. The more lean muscle you have, the higher your basal metabolic rate (BMR). This is the rate at which you burn calories at complete rest.

Although experts agree Weightlifting is the most effective, is not the only way you can build lean muscle. Strength training is really on the introduction of resistance to tone muscles and increase lean muscle mass.

Any strength training using resistance will be effective. So if you do not have access to weight lifting equipment, try using resistance bands or weight as an alternative. These cheap and convenient alternative for weightlifting will help you develop a workout routine of perfect strength.

Effective training + aerobic exercise effective = the best fat burning exercise.
